ENDANGERED RHINOS AND ELEPHANTS:
WHY RHINOS ARE ENDANGERED:
Rhinos are endangered because people have been hunting them for many of years.
Poaching them just to sell their horns. They actually call the Black Rhinos'
horn "black gold" because its so expensive.
More Information:
Rhinos are endangered because of various things. Rhinos prefer shade and because
we are cutting down the trees in the Savannah, we are wiping out their source of
sleep. Pollution due to people is also endangering these animals because of
toxic waste and pesticides left on the ground, and grass that the Rhinos eat.

WHY ELEPHANTS ARE ENDANGERED:

They were overhunted by poachers who wanted to sell their tusks which are quite
quite valuable as ivory.
The ivory is used for billiard balls and also
piano keys. However they are not really on the endangered species list they are
one lower called threatened. Also, African natives view them as dangerous to
people and their crops, so they shoot them.
Humans have caused the decimation of the elephant population, they are
hunted for their ivory tusks. Poachers continue to feed the black market with
ivory by slaughtering the elephant, even though they are a protected species.
The poachers did, killing them to use their tusks for the ivory trade.
also Habitat destruction has played a part in declining numbers.
and when we pollute the world we kill the elephants' home like some forests in
Africa and even when we litter that makes a gas which causes the air to be
polluted. Mostly by poachers, who earned big money in the ivory trade,
selling the elephant's tusks. There has been some gains made in African elephant
population recently, but the Asian species is still threatened with poaching and
habitat loss. Because people buy ivory, and because its homeland is being
converted to farming.
